Greetings and welcome

We encourage you to visit us and are very happy to welcome you in our shop, tierraUNA, located at 46 rue de la Fontaine au roi, Paris 75011. Our business hours are Mondays through Sundays from 11 a m to 8 p m and. Meeting and talking with you is very important to us; over a cup of coffee we can share our projects, the stories of our producers, as well as our fair trade products.

Like you, we believe that current business models are not the most equitable and we are sure that other methods of conducting and promoting trade are possible. The current system promotes social inequality and is one where those who control the wealth impose their methods without “inconveniencing” the political authorities. Waste, pollution, exploitation of people and the earth resources are considered acceptable, and have become a part of everything we buy.

From their side, the groups left behind in this economic model live impoverished lives of desperation, violence and ill health. Without access to the earth or the resources that would allow them to meet their most basic needs, they become ever poorer and more dependent.

The true values of good citizenship, solidarity, ethics and fairness in the production and redistribution of wealth are fundamental. By understanding these values and putting them into practice in our daily we can contribute to and assure the autonomy and economic self sufficiency of these marginalized populations , while also preserving our world community and saving our common house: the Earth.
